Free Brain Scans Available in The Hamptons

The Brain Tumor Foundation

Launches

National Expansion of Its

Road To Early Detection Campaign

The Brain Tumor Foundation (BTF) announces the launch of the national expansion of its Road to Early Detection campaign via its Sponsor A City initiative.  Beginning Friday, August 23rd, BTF’s Mobile MRI Unit will be stationed in the Bridgehampton Commons Shopping Mall (2044 Montauk Highway) through Thursday, August 29th.   The sponsorship of this screening location is being made possible through the generosity of Jeffrey Chodorow and the Chodorow Family.

Since its inception, The Road to Early Detection campaign has made free brain scans available throughout New York City and its neighboring boroughs.  Now, building on the success of this pilot program, BTF will broaden its offer of free brain scans nationwide.

Brain tumors do not discriminate.  They occur across the board without any distinctions of age, gender, socio-economic status or ethnicity.  Today, more than 600,000 Americans will be diagnosed with a brain or central nervous system tumor.  Another 900,000 Americans are living with brain tumors that have yet to be detected.  To that end, the Brain Tumor Foundation remains committed to its mission of early detection of brain tumors.   Through the Sponsor A City initiative, hundreds of thousands of people will be reached and innumerable lives can be saved.

The Unit will be in full operation, scanning from 9-5 each day.  To make an appointment for a free brain scan, please call 877-SCAN-NYC (877-722-6692).

For sponsorship opportunities, please call 212-265-2401.
